Trigon Healthcare Inc. The Group's principal activities are carried out through four segments: Health insurance, Government programs, Investments and Other. Health Insurance provides a comprehensive spectrum of managed care products primarily through three network systems with a range of utilization and cost containment controls. Government programs include the federal employee program through which the Group provides health benefits to federal employees. The investment portfolios of the consolidated subsidiaries are managed and evaluated collectively within the investment segment. Other category includes health-related business, third party administration for medical and workers compensation, life and disability insurance, health promotions and similar products. The Group's largest customers are the Federal Employee Program and Commonwealth of Virginia. Health insurance accounted for 81% of 2001 revenues; government programs, 18% and other, 1%.
