The Group's principal activity is to sell brewed, espresso-based and blended beverages, as well as, light food items, whole bean coffee and accessories through company operated and franchised retail locations. As on 28-Jun-2006, the Group owned and operated 52 retail locations and franchised 200 retail locations under the Diedrich Coffee, Gloria Jean's and Coffee People brand names. The Group also sells whole bean and ground coffee through 800 wholesale office accounts with Office Coffee Service distributors, restaurants and others. It also operates a coffee roasting facility in central California that supplies freshly roasted coffee to its retail locations and wholesale accounts.
