The company acts as the exclusive registrar of Internet domain names within the .com, .org, .net and .edu top level domains pursuant to a co-operative agreement with the National Science Foundation. The company provides enterprise network consulting services which focus on network engineering, network and systems security and network management solutions. The company also offers a web-based domain name registration process through the new storefront web site. During 1999 the company provided Internet technology consulting services to more than 20 companies. The company signed a definitive agreement to merge with Verisign, Inc., in March 2000.
