Interpool, Inc.. The Group's principal activities are to lease intermodal dry freight standard containers, chassis and other transportation related equipment. The Group operates through two segments: Container Leasing and Domestic Intermodal Equipment Leasing. The Container Leasing segment leases intermodal dry freight standard containers. The Domestic Intermodal Equipment Leasing segment leases intermodal container chassis and other equipment such as freight rail cars and intermodal trailers. The Computer Leasing segment, which was involved in leasing microcomputers and other related operations, ceased operations and begun liquidating. The Group leases chassis and containers to over 600 shipping and transportation customers throughout the world.
