1. Why do I need Business.com in my media mix?
Over eight million unique visitors come to the Business.com site every month, and we reach another 40 million business buyers across our network of premier partners. Clearly, Business.com is an essential part of the online business buying process.

Business.com is essential for reaching the business buyer who knows they need a solution for a specific business challenge but has not committed to one brand yet. General search engines are also a critical part of the media mix to ensure clients benefit from late-stage navigational searches. Conversely, Business.com targets business decision makers in the research and negotiation phase of the buying process.

2. How do I pitch Business.com to my clients?
To better explain Business.com to your clients and provide a comprehensive overview of Business.com's audience, product offerings and value, download our Agency Client Presentation. For additional information and help creating a custom presentation for your client, contact your account manager or customerservice@business.com.

3. Does Business.com provide impression data?
Business.com does not provide impression data at this time. Our current Network partner implementations do not require that Business.com listings are shown to users on the partner site whenever the partner site calls Business.com with a search request. Some of our Network partners show Business.com listings every time a search is conducted on their site, and other Network partners only show Business.com listings a fraction of the time. We understand the lack of impression data is an issue for some clients, and are working on a solution to meet their needs.

4. After I send Business.com a keyword list, how long does it take to get a pay-per-click campaign online?
Upon receiving your keyword list, we will generate a proposal and have it back to you within 2 business days.

You can expect the campaign to be live within 24 hours once you've signed off on the proposal and we have all the necessary campaign information (e.g., CPCs, monthly budget, creative, tracking, campaign goals, start and end dates, etc.)

5. Can I set a daily cap amount on my Business.com pay-per-click campaign?
At present, Business.com advertisers are not able to assign a daily cap to their pay-per-click campaigns. However, as an added service to our advertisers, our listing management system is configured to deliver a consistent flow of quality traffic to your client's site within the limits of the specified monthly advertising budget. Our goal is to try to make it easier for advertisers by automatically smoothing your budget across the month.

As such, listings will be temporarily removed from, and returned to, the Business.com site and Network without any action required on your part. Please note, this temporary removal from our network partner sites may lag slightly behind the removal from the Business.com site. Advertisers with no campaign or monthly cap will not be affected.

6. Can I add additional keywords to my Business.com pay-per-click campaign that are not represented in your category structure that I'm currently running on other engines?
Yes, additional keywords can be added to Business.com pay-per-click campaigns. However, it is important to understand that keywords or ad text from PPC campaigns on general search engines will not necessarily deliver similar performance on Business.com because:

Providing your Account Manager with a broad list of relevant keywords from other PPC campaigns can help identify additional, relevant Business.com categories for your campaign. However, we strongly recommend against using these keywords instead of Business.com directory categories if you want to see optimal results on Business.com.

7. How much volume and spend can I expect for my Business.com campaign?
Your Account Manager can provide a proposal estimating volume at a given budget level. You can also use our online Featured Listing sign-up process to generate a basic estimate for a simple campaign. This estimate can be used to establish initial client expectations and determine the starting campaign budget.

All proposal estimates are generated assuming average campaign performance. We recommend you closely monitor campaign spend and volume during the first few weeks. If your client's campaign is seeing above-average performance, you can expect to see additional volume and may allocate additional budget appropriately.

8. Does Business.com offer geo-targeting?
Business.com does not currently offer geo-targeting. However, advertisers in specific verticals are able to add state-specific categories to their campaigns to help to further qualify users.

9. Does Business.com offer banner advertising?
Business.com offers banner advertising opportunities in the form of B2B channel sponsorships. To find out how you can sponsor a Business.com channel and increase your exposure to business buyers, visit our B2B Banner Advertising page or contact your Account Manager for more information.

10. Is Business.com a search engine or a content site?
Business.com combines multiple types of content, including the Internet's largest collection of business how-to guides and the leading B2B searchable directory. Since 2000, Business.com has been the online destination where business people go to find solutions. We help business buyers learn about, find and buy the products or services they need for their businesses. Your clients can target motivated decision makers at every part of the buying process through multiple Business.com products, including Pay-Per-Click Advertising and B2B Banner Advertising.

11. Which of your site categories and/or channels receive the most traffic?
Traffic to specific advertisers or sections of the Business.com site depend on a variety of factors including seasonality, Business.com Network partners, economic conditions and more. Contact your Account Manager or Business.com Customer Service for more details on traffic volume for specific categories or channels.
